ACUVUE produces a wide variety of contact lenses, the lifespan of your lenses depends entirely on the specific product line you are prescribed:

• Daily Lenses – Brands like 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST, ACUVUE® OASYS 1-Day, and the newest ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day are designed for single-use wear. You put a fresh pair in each morning and throw them away at night.
• Biweekly Lenses – The incredibly popular ACUVUE® OASYS (standard spherical) lenses are designed to be replaced every 14 days. They require nightly removal, cleaning, and storage in a multi-purpose solution.
• Monthly Lenses – ACUVUE® VITA® lenses are designed for a full 30 days of daily wear, requiring nightly cleaning and storage before being replaced with a new pair each month.

For most ACUVUE lenses, including all daily and monthly options, the answer is no. They are strictly for daily wear, and sleeping in them risks severe eye infections.

The Exception: The two-week ACUVUE® OASYS is FDA-approved for up to 6 nights and 7 days of continuous wear. If worn overnight, they must be discarded after 7 days instead of 14. Always consult your eye doctor before sleeping in any contacts.

ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day

Their newest premium daily lens. It combines TearStable™ Technology (to lock in moisture throughout the lens and surface) with an OptiBlue™ Light Filter (to filter out 60% of blue-violet light), reducing eye strain from digital screens and bright lights.

ACUVUE OASYS (1-Day & 2-Week)

A premium silicone hydrogel family designed for demanding days. The daily version uses HydraLuxe™ Technology to integrate with your natural tear film, while the two-week version uses HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology to maintain a highly wettable, ultra-smooth surface.

1-DAY ACUVUE MOIST

One of the most popular daily disposables in the world. It utilizes LACREON® Technology, which permanently embeds a water-holding ingredient into the lens material to provide a long-lasting cushion of moisture for sensitive eyes.

ACUVUE VITA

Their monthly silicone hydrogel offering, featuring HydraMax™ Technology to help maximize and maintain hydration across the entire 30-day wear cycle.
